The Chaste tree makes a beautiful, small tree. This deciduous small tree or large shrub reaches 20' high with an equal spread. Narrow, pointed leaves radiate out fan-like from the branches and measure 8-10 inches wide. Fragrant purple colored spikes of flowers measure 8-10 inches long and appear in the summer. Tree can exhibit drought tolerance once established and thrives in the heat.
