Pineapple Guava

The flowers have thick fleshy petals that are edible. Although part of the guava family, the blossoms are very rarely productive, but when they do produce thick skinned fruit with seedy pulp that tastes like pineapple. The flowers are exceptional at attracting hummingbirds. Can be used to create a low maintenance hedge.
