Foliage to 8 inches tall with flower stalks up to 24 inches tall. Grows exceptionally well in the desert as long as it is protected from the afternoon sun. Removal of old foliage can keep the plant narrow and vertical or it can be left to give the plant a more sprawling appearance. Frost sensitive but, if left to freeze, will generally regrow from the root system.
