Alyogyne hakeifolia

Red Centered Hibiscus

Although not a true hibiscus, its large silky white flowers do bear some resemblance. Striking flowers feature a blood red throat and a glowing orange stigma. Quite rare in the U.S., it is native to the deserts of south and western Australia so it is quite at home in our climate. Very unique, and you can be assured that you will be the only one in the neighborhood with this plant.
