Yellow Bird of Paradise

This shrub originated from Argentina and Uruguay, and has naturalized in parts of the Sonoran and Chihuahuan deserts near cities. Its natural growth habit is irregular and open, but occasional pruning will encourage dense growth. All parts of this plant are mildly toxic.
