One of the first trees to flower in the late winter early spring. The dark red purple flowers appear before the leaves, which makes for a stunning show. A small medium sized tree with compact form, it is great for tighter spots or smaller yards. Can take full sun, but does best if reflected heat and or western exposure is avoided.
