Ficus carica

Common Fig

These medium to large sized fruit trees are exceptionally easy to grow in the Arizona Desert. They require regular watering, but thrive in the heat and constant sunshine. They are an extremely maleable tree and can be pruned to virtually any shape. Once trimmed upright they can be used to form a sizeable shade tree.
