This plant produces long-lasting flower spikes throughout the summer and is almost maintenance free. The tubular flowers attract hummingbirds. This tough plant also makes a great container plant, and is a clean choice for pool areas. Cut back flower spikes after bloom and divide clumps in fall or spring as plants become wider than desired.
