Leucophyllum frutescens

Texas Ranger Sage

As tough and hardy plants go, this takes the cake. This Texas native needs well draining soils and very little water or maintenance. May be pruned to shape and size or you can skip pruning altogether. Light pruning can be done once, in late winter or early spring before buds form. Provides great color contrast and works well in mass plantings.
