Prosopis glandulosa

Honey Mesquite

A unique mesquite prized for its majestic, willow-like drooping branches and its delicate feathery foliage. It is great for attracting wildlife, especially pollinators. Like other mesquites, it is very hardy and thrives in our hot desert climate. Creamy-white blossoms appear in spring and are slightly fragrant. Bean pods are edible and have been used by natives for centuries.
