Brazilian Pepper Trees

A smaller evergreen shade tree with aromatic leaves that have a faint turpentine scent when crushed. The seeds have a peppery taste and are sometimes sold as pink pepper though their peppery taste is much weaker than real peppercorns. They can be temperamental in the summer heat and don’t do well surrounded by rock or pavers.
