Tetraneuris acauliis (Hymenoxys acaulis)

Angelita Daisy

An incredibly hardy Arizona native. Highly drought tolerant, in the wild it can survive on annual desert rainfall alone, although some regular water is appreciated. A tiny member of the sunflower family, its bright yellow flowers sway on long, slender stems above low mounds of grass-like leaves. Flowers can appear almost year-round, but heaviest in spring-fall.
