A native of the southwestern U.S., it is named for its distinct banana-shaped seed pods. It is incredibly drought tolerant and is right at home in ant water-wise landscape design. Looks great planted alongside flowering desert plants like sagebrush, penstemon, Angelita daisy, etc. Produces a spectacular bouquet of creamy white flowers tinged with purple in the spring. Likes a well draining soil.
